World Soil Day is held annually on 5th  December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and to advocate for the sustainable management of soil resources.

World Soil Day theme of the year 2022 is "Soils: Where food begins" which aims to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being by addressing the growing challenges in soil management, increasing soil awareness, and encouraging societies to improve soil health. 

To spread awareness about this day Hari Vidya Bhawan organized an Article Writing Activity on 5th December 2022 for classes IX and X. 

Students decorated the class board beautifully and wrote an article on the topic "Soils: Where food begins".

They expressed their view on how Soil plays an important role in providing food for our daily lives. Healthy soils can significantly contribute to ending hunger and creating a healthy planet, but only if we address soil global threats, including nutrient imbalance.
