Guru Purnima is a festival which is dedicated to our gurus. A guru not only teaches and gives us knowledge but also shows us the right path to lead our life. He is the person who helps us to enlighten ourselves and guides us to lead a prosperous life. We also celebrate Teacher's Day and it also has some importance but it is mostly confined to the teachers who give us academic knowledge a guru makes us complete and true human beings. As per the Hindu calendar, the Guru Purnima festival is celebrated on the full moon day i.e. the? Purnima? of the?Aashaadha? month. As per the Gregorian calendar, it occurs in the month of July-August every year.
